Electric Aukhli
My grandmother used to tell me how she used to spend hours pounding on spices to convert them into their powder form, she used an “aukhli” which was basically a bigger version of mortar and pestle but now with electricity you just turn on the switch and bam you get things done in a mixer.
So one day I was wondering how this machine works so I reverse engineered one of our old mixers. It was basically an electric motor attached to a blade, so then I went to google baba and learned about the working of a motor.
So to simplify imagine a magnet with a north pole and a fixed magnet paced at a distance with a south pole these two magnets will come together with some acceleration.
So how about if I change the polarity of one of the magnets as soon as they are about to touch each other, it will repulse back and if I do it again and again this will make them go to and fro on the horizontal surface. This same concept is used in a motor where one magnet is called armature(moving magnet) and another one is called magnetic wiring(fixed magnet), now in our above example there was translation oscillation whereas in a motor there is rotational translation but as we changing the polarity by changing the direction of the current it keeps on rotating as long as we keep supplying current (this current is what makes both the component of the motor armature and wiring magnetic)
With the development of electricity, life is much effortless nowadays, we sometimes don’t even imagine how much easier life is after the technological revolution and per diem inventions.
I think I was able to explain it more thoroughly.
